Delivering up to 5 Watts of selectable transmit power, this FCC Part 95 certified radio provides reliable long-range coverage across all 22 standard GMRS/FRS channels and 8 pre-configured repeater channels. Built around a premium superheterodyne receiver architecture, the KG-S88G Plus delivers exceptional selectivity and signal clarity, filtering out adjacent-channel interference far more effectively than standard direct-conversion portables.

Encased in a rugged IP67 dustproof and waterproof housing, the KG-S88G Plus is fully submersible and built to withstand severe weather conditions. Modern convenience is integrated throughout its design, featuring built-in Bluetooth audio for pairing wireless headsets and earpieces, alongside dual charging options via a built-in USB-C port or the included desktop drop-in tray. Powered by a rechargeable 2000mAh Li-Ion battery pack and equipped with a full backlit DTMF keypad, 400 programmable memory channels, and a built-in frequency counter, the KG-S88G Plus offers professional-grade customization for off-road convoys, outdoor expeditions, and tactical team communications.

IP67 Submersible Waterproofing and Compact Chassis

The KG-S88G Plus is built for demanding environments with certified IP67 dust and waterproof protection. Measuring just 4.53 by 2.14 by 1.36 inches and weighing 8.40 ounces, its compact ergonomic body is easy to pack and carry without adding bulk. Power is supplied by a 2000mAh Li-Ion battery pack, featuring a dedicated battery release latch located on the bottom of the radio chassis. For flexible charging in field or vehicle setups, the unit supports both direct USB-C cable charging and drop-in desktop charger tray powering.

Superheterodyne Precision and Bluetooth Audio Integration

At the heart of the KG-S88G Plus is a superheterodyne receiver that delivers superior signal rejection, high sensitivity, and crisp voice output. In addition to GMRS transmissions, the receiver monitors UHF frequencies from 400 to 480 MHz (receive only) and includes a commercial FM radio tuner. Integrated Bluetooth audio allows operators to link the radio wirelessly to compatible Bluetooth earpieces, headsets, or external speakers for effortless hands-free operation. An onboard frequency counter automatically identifies nearby radio signals and detects transmitted CTCSS tones or DCS codes in real time.

Deep Channel Capacity and Tone Management

With support for up to 400 custom channels, the KG-S88G Plus provides extensive memory space for managing complex frequency lists. Out of the box, it includes 30 pre-set GMRS channels, including 8 GMRS repeater channels with split CTCSS/DCS tone capabilities. The radio supports both standard and non-standard privacy codes, tone scanning, tone saving, VOX hands-free operation, reverse frequency, talk around, and selectable wide or narrow bandwidth. Interface controls include a backlit LCD display, dedicated channel and volume knobs, two programmable side function keys, one programmable top key, and a full DTMF keypad.
