The Wouxun KG-Q10G represents the top tier of portable GMRS capability, built for demanding operators, search-and-rescue teams, and off-grid trail leaders who require comprehensive frequency coverage alongside high-power transmission. Delivering up to 6 Watts of transmit power across all 30 GMRS channels, this FCC-certified transceiver provides maximum signal reach for both simplex and repeater operations. The unit is housed in a rugged chassis certified to IP67 dust and waterproof standards, allowing it to withstand complete submersion and harsh environmental conditions.

Distinguishing the KG-Q10G from standard handhelds is its high-performance superheterodyne receiver, which provides broad reception across VHF, UHF, 700-900 MHz bands, CB channels in AM/FM, commercial FM radio, and AM aviation airband. Integrated GPS location tracking allows the radio to display position data from other transmitting Q-series units. Powered by a high-capacity 3000mAh Li-ion battery featuring an IP67-sealed onboard USB-C charging port and supported by drop-in desktop charging, the KG-Q10G combines extensive power reserves with field-ready charging flexibility.

GPS Location Data & Custom Dual-Channel Display

The KG-Q10G integrates GPS location tracking directly into its operational interface. When enabled, the radio decodes and displays position data transmitted by other compatible Q-series transceivers, enhancing situational awareness for group members in remote areas. Visually, the radio features a full-color dual-channel display supporting 14 selectable color themes, 4 of which can be customized via PC programming software. The display also supports dual-channel simultaneous reception, custom startup text messages, and dual menu navigation.

Superheterodyne Multi-Band RX & Advanced Audio Management

Built with a superheterodyne receiver architecture, the KG-Q10G excels at rejecting adjacent-channel interference while pulling in weak signals. Beyond standard GMRS transmission, the scanning receiver covers 136-174MHz VHF, 320-480MHz UHF, 714-999MHz, 40 CB channels, FM broadcast radio, and 108-136MHz AM airband. Audio features include NOAA weather alert scanning with 5 notification modes, VOX hands-free operation, English voice prompts, an SOS emergency siren, and a built-in LED flashlight.

Keypad Channel Wizard & Heavy-Duty Controls

Channel configuration is streamlined through Wouxun’s Channel Wizard, enabling rapid programming of memory channels, CTCSS/DCS tones, and repeater offsets directly from the DTMF keypad without requiring a computer. The hardware layout includes stacked volume and channel selector knobs, dual PTT switches, and three programmable keys capable of mapping up to 6 distinct functions. Memory capacity expands up to 999 channels, backed by priority scanning, group call decoding, and split-tone repeater support.
