GM-30 Plus

The GM-30 Plus elevates group coordination through its built-in GPS functionality. When communicating with team members in the field, the unit processes location signals to provide real-time latitude, longitude, and straight-line distance directly on screen. This capability simplifies search-and-rescue operations, off-grid convoy tracking, and outdoor group management by allowing team leaders to pinpoint contact positions without relying on cellular networks.

Beyond transmitting on GMRS channels, the GM-30 Plus serves as a comprehensive multi-band scanning receiver. Users can monitor VHF and UHF frequencies, FM broadcast radio, NOAA weather alerts, civil aviation airband communications, and 220-260 MHz / 350-390 MHz bands. To eliminate tedious manual programming during field deployment, the radio features One-Click Frequency Copy. Pressing the dedicated SK2 side key while holding the radio near another transmitter instantly captures its operating frequency and CTCSS or DCS sub-audible privacy tones.

Organizing large channel libraries is straightforward on the GM-30 Plus thanks to its 10-zone architecture and 1,000 total memory channels. The unit supports 155 privacy codes (comprising 50 CTCSS tones and 105 DCS codes) to eliminate unwanted channel crosstalk. Dual Watch functionality allows operators to monitor two separate channels simultaneously, ensuring critical secondary alerts are never missed while keeping a primary channel active. For advanced customization, the GM-30 Plus is fully compatible with open-source CHIRP software as well as RT Systems CPS.
