The Midland MicroMobile MXTA12 NMO Antenna Mag Mount offers a reliable, drill-free solution for vehicle antenna installations. Designed to work with all Midland MicroMobile radios and compatible antennas, this magnetic mount allows operators to easily screw on their GMRS antennas to establish a secure RF path back to their mobile radios. Operating across a wide frequency range from 0 to 1000 MHz, this passive mount facilitates consistent, high-frequency signal propagation suitable for trail riders, overlanders, and rescue teams needing rapid and temporary mobile station setups.

Structurally, the mount features a heavy-duty, 3.5-inch diameter silver magnetic base that provides secure adhesion to steel vehicle surfaces without requiring permanent modifications or drilling. For weatherproofing and surface protection, the assembly includes a custom-fit rubber boot that slips over the magnet base, protecting the vehicle’s paint from scratches and providing an environmental barrier. The mount is equipped with an integrated RG-58A/U coaxial cable, which routes the RF signal directly from the NMO antenna base to the in-cabin radio.

The MXTA12 is engineered around a heavy-duty 3.5-inch diameter magnetic base, providing strong, drill-free adhesion to any flat steel vehicle surface. This non-permanent mounting solution allows overlanders and field crews to easily adjust the mount’s location without damaging the vehicle body. To ensure environmental durability and protect exterior surfaces, the kit includes a protective rubber boot. This boot fits snugly over the silver magnetic base, acting as a buffer against moisture infiltration and physical scraping, thereby preserving the vehicle’s paint and the underlying magnet during high-vibration off-road travel.

The MXTA12 improves transmission quality through its low-loss coaxial design and high-frequency rating. The mount supports a broad operating spectrum from 0 to 1000 MHz, ensuring that the physical interface does not introduce impedance bottlenecks or signal degradation across GMRS or other UHF frequencies. The integrated RG-58A/U coaxial cable is designed to deliver clean RF signals from the NMO antenna base to the transceiver, maximizing the effective range and clarity of GMRS transmissions.
