The LowMesh Pocket-S is a compact, portable solar-powered node engineered specifically for long-range, off-grid communication on the Meshtastic network. Built around an updated internal PCB designed for optimized mesh performance, the device combines a RAK4630 LoRa module with an integrated 6.6V / 0.8W solar panel and an internal 2000 mAh LiPo battery. Running on the license-free US915 MHz band, the Pocket-S serves as a continuous relay node or personal off-grid communicator that automatically maintains its charge when exposed to sunlight.
To maximize energy efficiency and battery longevity, the unit deliberately omits internal GPS modules and power-hungry OLED screens. Because Meshtastic leverages your paired smartphone’s GPS and display via Bluetooth, the Pocket-S channels all available power toward mesh message routing and standby endurance. Designed for versatile field deployment, it features a standard camera tripod-style mounting hole, an on/off power switch to preserve energy, and a loud internal buzzer (assigned to GPIO 21) that alerts users to incoming messages.
